2008 Dixon Christmas

This Christmas, we had a lot of "first". Our first flocked tree was one of them. We went tree shopping and Johnnie and the kids decided that they wanted a flocked tree. Triston loved it!! He thought it was real snow and of course wouldn't see any other tree on the lot.
Christmas morning, the kids woke us up at 5:45 a.m.. Triston ran in our room, jumped on our bed and said "Wake up NOW! Santa has come". ( I love that part). He is our baby and it wont be long and the "magic" of Santa will no longer fill our Christmas mornings. Our baby turns 9 on January 5th.
The kids got a Wii for Christmas this year. Johnnie and I both have had so much fun playing it. Keeli and Dalton videoed us playing on Christmas day and Johnnie and I watched the video last night and I laughed so hard...I cried!
I woke up today....sore!!! What a work out!
Dalton & Keeli both got new cameras and lots of other "goodies". Tristons favorite was his Cyclopes night goggles. He played with them last night in the back yard. He came running in saying "Hey...there are lots of red eyes in our back yard". CREEPY!!
Cody spent Christmas morning at Jeffs this year. He came home with a wallet full of money! Exactly what he wanted!! It's already burning a hole in his pocket.
I am truly a blessed woman. I have the most wonderful husband and children a girl could ask for.

Christmas Eve Pajama gift opening

Christmas Eve, we have a tradition that we open our "Christmas Pj's" and lay around in them all afternoon. We play games (this year was Phase 10) and watch Christmas movies, eat smores, drink hot chocolate and just be together! Its actually my favorite thing about Christmas.

Family Christmas Party

This year we had our "Family" Christmas party at my house. I rented an outdoor projector and we layed blankets out on the back lawn and watched "The Nativity Story" outdoors. Which the kids all loved. It was like being at the drive in.
Afterward, we went 1 street over from our house to see the light show. The most amazing light show there ever was!! Once we were done there, we all came back and opened gifts and played the "White elephant" gift exchange. Had lots of good food and good company!
I love being with my family. In the photos above, we all sat and posed for our "family" picture. The only one I don't have is Kim & Derricks family. I especially love the photo of daddy and all of his grandchildren. He was so happy and proud that day!!!

Thanksgiving with "The Carrells"

This year, we decided that I was not going to cook (thank goodness) Thanksgiving dinner and went to my brother Derricks house for dinner.
We spent the day at Kim & Derricks and enjoyed being around family. I ended up spending the night with my sister in law Kim so that I could arise at 3:30 a.m. to go shopping for "Black Friday". We had so much fun!!
Thanksgiving this year was relaxing...not work, work, work...which was a change for me!

Halloween Party 2008

Johnnie & I went to an all adult Halloween Costume Party at our friends, Sean & Tracy Bryants last night! WHAT A HOOT!! We went as a pair of A's, Johnnie as the Ace of Spade and I, the Ace of Diamonds (of course).
We won the Best Couple Costume contest, and I wont elaborate on here what our gifts were (too explicit and hiliarous).
There was great food, music, karoke and dancing. Tracy did an awesome job of decorating for the party. There was spooky stuff EVERYWHERE!!

Wild About Cotillion

Our baby girl..is growing up!!! Tonight, October 25th, Keeli went to her first Cotillion. The theme was "Wild About Cotillion"...animal print. Her date for this event was James Chapman. Tonight they will learn to Waltz and Texas 2 step, which I am sure Keeli will find challenging in those 3 inch heels that are Cheeta.

Once again, her daddy was not pleased when she left the house. He is currently in denial.

We are so proud of our baby girl!

October Fun in Fredericksburg 2008

Have I said it lately.......I LOVE FALL!!! We had the best time this weekend with the boys in Fredericksburg. While Johnnie & Triston "messed" around in the pasture with the deer, Dalton & I headed into town to shop (which everyone knows I LOVE to do). I bought the cutest pair of leopard shoes!! YAY for me!!

Saturday night, we decided to take the boys to town to an outdoor dance. Live music and lots of fun. I taught the boys to 2 step, line dance and waltz (which Dalton is good at...poor Triston...has two left feet)!

The weather could not have been nicer!

Oh, and last but not least...I didn't notice how bad Triston needed his hair cut until these photos!!! He is SOOOOO going tomorrow!!

Montgomery Homecoming 2008

2008 Montgomery Homecoming. Keeli cheered Friday night at the game (which we won). She is growing up so fast.
Here are a few pictures with her friends before the game and before the dance. Her daddy almost had a heart attack seeing her in the dress. He still thinks she is 8 and is in denial. LOL
Keeli is a JV Cheerleader, a member of Montgomery Cotillion, Student Counsel and the Art Club. We are so very proud!

Labor Day Weekend 2008

This labor day weekend was long for Johnnie and I. He actually took a vacation day on Friday so that he could have a 4 day weekend. Almost like a mini vacation.

We started out on Lake Conroe. We took our boat out and let the kids knee board and tube. They really enjoyed watching their dad do 360's on the water. We spent 3 of the 4 days boating. We also cooked out on Saturday and ate outside on our patio ...which was really nice.
On Saturday night, we headed over to Mels house for some poker. I won 1st place in the 1st tournament and split the pot with Mel who took 2nd place.

On Sunday, my dad and his wife came in to stay with us for a few days to get away from hurricane Gustav. It was really nice to see my daddy and spend some time with him. Rena took me shopping on Monday to spend some money on the grandkids...which my kids love because Pappa and Grandma always buy them what they want. SPOILED!
