Gingerbread House

Every year, a tradition in the Dixon home is to build a gingerbread house. This year, we all had fun putting sugar gum drops, pretzels, gum balls and all sorts of candy on this gingerbread house. Our gingerbread house last year was much more festive than this one. I had trouble finding all the candy we wanted this year! Anyway...it sure put us in the spirit of Christmas. Hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Fall Leaves

I took these photos a few weeks ago before we moved and found them on my camera and thought I would post them. Dalton & Triston really enjoyed playing in all the leaves. The leaves at our old house are something I know the boys will miss...that is..except Johnnie & Cody who always had to rake them! HA!

Fun at Shiela's 30th

My cousin Sheila turned 30 on Halloween. She had a birthday party at her house with a DJ and all. I bartended (which is NOT a job I would EVER want in "real life"...too demanding!!) which was interesting and fun!
Johnnie & I had a great time!
I got to see alot of my family too. Here's a pic of me and my uncle Donnie (who is a goof, prankster...gotta love him!).

I made so many mixed drinks that night...I really could be a bartender though. I made tips and all!! HA!

Glad we could be a part of your "Big" day Shiela! HAPPY BIRTHDAY from your favorite cousin! (he he)

80's Day at School

Today was 80's day at school. The girls had so much fun dressing up that I thought I would share these photos.
In the days of Leg warmers, big hair, blousy shirts, Pat Benatar, parachute pants and The Breakfast Club (days I remember all too well), this was the attire. Sad but true! HA!
Only mishap with the outfits......as soon as I got home from dropping the boys off to school, I get a call from Keeli and Amanda to bring them some leggings. They were "out of dress code" for school!

The Morning After!!

The morning after, me and my cousin Shelly headed for the Mall to do some much needed shopping. After spending the past 28 hours with 9 high school girls and 7 high school guys, we needed a BREAK!! We headed off with Dalton, Shelby and Amanda and went shopping!

Dalton was so funny! We made our stop at Victorias Secret and he of course had to be a "BOY"!!

Then off to Hollister we went and me and Ms. Shelby had to act a little goofy!! Amandas boyfriend Andy showed up to hang out with us too!

Ended on a good day! I bought lots of goodies at Sephora (one of my favorites) and Shelby got lots of new clothes!! All in all...we had a great weekend!! Can't wait to do it again!

Fun night with "The Gang"

We had the best time Saturday night!! A bunch of Keeli's girl/guy friends came over and we all hung out and ........well...lets just say "kids will be kids"!! Good clean fun!!! The picture above is the "morning after". All 9 of the girls stayed the night and had pancakes and sausage the next morning! What a great group of kids. Mrs. Dixon had sooooo much fun! Love you all!

All the girls wore "silly socks" and skull bandannas with black out under their eyes. Zach had to "strike his pose" in this picture!! We are going to patten it so NO ONE steals it! HA! Love it! As for the triplets!! Thank goodness for great parents! (he he)...also...is that Barnetts Tahoe in the back I see???

My Little Hunter

This weekend was "Youth Hunt" weekend. Johnnie and Triston headed out on Friday afternoon to Rock Springs Texas with a couple of other men and thier sons to hunt. Triston shot this 8 point buck (his first of the season) and we are so proud!!

Keeli's Cheer Squad..."THE BLAZE"

On Saturday, Keelis comp cheer squad cheered at Willis High school for their Fall Festival. Although these pictures didn't come out very clear, I wanted to post them. They performed AWESOME!! I really like the picture of Keeli doing her heel stretch in this stunt!! We are getting pumped up for the November 3rd competition in Galveston at Moody Gardens. This will be our first competition of the year. GO SPIRIT EXPLOSION.....THE BLAZE!!

Conroe VS College Park

The Conroe Tigers played College Park. It was a close game, unfortunately, the Tigers walked away loosing thier first game of the season. Last minute in the game, College Park through a long pass for a touch down. The score ending in 24-21.

I loved this picture of the cheerleaders holding "D" and a "Fence". We played awesome defense that night!!!
Next week we are off to play Oakridge. GO CONROE TIGERS!!!!!!

Another mishap at the Dixons

On Monday, my accident prone son Dalton, was stabbed in the back of the head 4 times with a pencil and then in the eye with that same pencil. We have spent 3 days at the Pediatrician and Optomologist. It's Thursday and Dalton is doing much better. We are really fortunate that there is no permanent damage to the eye. Thank the Lord!

Now it's just going through all the "red tape" with the school and the other childs parents. Pray for us!!

I am not going to post pictures because it's even more gross than the stitches!!

The Woodlands WHO?? GO CONROE!! WE WON!!

Tonight, the Tigers beat the Highlanders!!

35-14 !! GO CONROE TIGERS!!!!!!

What an awesome game!! Tonight the Conroe Tigers played thier biggest rivals The Woodlands Highlanders. It is tradition for the Conroe fans to wear overalls to this particular game...so I went out and bought the girls some overalls and we decorated them with lots of SPIRIT!! I think the meaning is that The Woodlands believe that we are a bunch of "country hicks". Well...us "country hicks" showed the "Highlanders" how to play football tonight!! Whoo Hoooo!!

We had such a great time doing this!! Aren't they toooooooo cute!!

Keeli & Amanda had such a good time helping me and was very excited to wear their new duds to the game!!

They both looked so cute!!

So heres to the TIGERS!!!!! WE LOVE YOU CONROE !!

Ewwwwww gross!! Dalton's Battle Wounds

Although disgusting to look at, I wanted to post these photos of Dalton's arm. For all that have a weak stomache..sorry in advance. Here is what happens when little boys fight and one sticks their arm through a glass window to ward off another!!

The things little boys do !

Well, tonight, Dalton had to go the ER to get 19 stitches in his arm. Up in our game room he and his brother were playing. Triston ran out onto the balcony off of the gameroom and when he did...Dalton locked him outside. Well...anyone that knows my boys can imagine the scene from there. Triston starts yelling, aggravating Dalton, calling names etc etc...and so Dalton (being the "I will get you back" kinda kid that he is) decided to slap the glass in the window that is on the door right where Tristons face was. Right through the glass went Daltons arm. Normal reflex is to jerk back and so he did and ripped 4 deep punctures in his arm. They were able to close 3 of them up but unfortanetly, one had lost skin in the accident. So...now Dalton will have a chunk out of his arm.

Triston being on the other side, received 3 little cuts right above his eye and while at the ER with Dalton, we found pieces of glass stuck in his head. I thought the blood that was in his hair was from Dalton...but come to find out...it was his own. Digging glass out of an 8 year olds head was fun!!

BOYS!!

Night out with our younger boys

With our teenagers getting older, Friday and Saturday nights, the 2 younger ones (Dalton & Triston) get stuck hanging out with mom and dad while the others head to a movie or friends house to stay the night. Last night, we took a trip to the video store and rented 8 movies, then headed over to Triston's favorite...James Coney Island to grab dinner. We came back to the house and the boys made a picnic in front of the tv to watch "Flushed Away" while Johnnie and I watched "Disturbia" (which freaked me out!!)

The boys like being with us alone because they get to pick what we do. One wanted to go bowling and the other wanted to rent movies. A coin was tossed and well....you see what we ended up doing (which was great for Johnnie and I because we were too tired to do anything else).

Today, we head off to play baseball against a team in Willis! Wish us luck!

Sibling Jealousy!! Gotta love it! Dalton's Blog

Well, I was sitting here at the computer posting some new blogs of Keeli and Dalton wants to know..."Why don't you put pics of me on here?". So this one...is just for Dalton. Dalton, Triston(who is loosing his teeth as you can tell from this pic..lol) and myself. Just to show him, there is no one here partial to any other...this blog posting is just for him.

This week, I got a call from Dalton's history teacher. The teacher called to inform me that he was very happy to have Dalton in his class. That Dalton is very respectful and is making all A's in his class. That Dalton is a hard worker and very helpful to others. Needless to say....We are so proud of him!!

So Dalton, when you read this...Mom loves you son...so so so much!

Keeli's Tumble Video

Keeli is doing so well in tumble/cheer. Check out her video here. She can actually do several more backhand springs but as you can tell...she has ran out of room on the grass! Way to go KiKi!!

It's Cheer time!!

It's cheer time and October is busy for Keeli. She has her first competition on

October 27th. The makeup they have to wear is so dark up close but far away...they look fantastic!! She is getting very excited and doing so well in cheer this year! We can't wait to see what this year competition brings!! She is growing up so fast and breaking her daddy's heart already! HA! He hates boys!!
