Fun in the Sun. Galveston 2008

Each year, usually prior to our summer vacation, I take my kids to Galveston Beach for a day trip. This year, I was actually surprised at how clean the water and the beach was. My sister in law Melanie and her 5 boys joined us for this trip. We had a blast!!

We first rode the ferry over to Bolivar and it took FOREVER to get back over to the mainland. Once we did, we headed over to West Beach (which is much cleaner and less crowded) and let the boys play in the ocean. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed our day in the sun.
The boys flew kites (which I love to do) and Mel and I kicked back and read our favorite book.

July 4th 2008

Rock on Johnnie!!

This year we spent 4th of July in Houston at the Chevy's Freedom over Texas!!!

Me and Johnnie took the kids and Melanie & her family and headed to Houston for a fun filled day at the festival. It was GREAT! Live music with Jo Dee Mesina, Miranda Lambert & Sara Evans. Johnnie danced and sang a long and Keeli and Taylor sat on the first row!
The boys had thier hair painted and rocked climbed and rode rides. Even Cody enjoyed that part!! At the end of the night was one of the best fireworks show I have ever seen! They say it was the 2nd largest in the nation.

Baseball Season 2008

Through out baseball season, it was difficult to keep up with our blog page, so I am going to try and catch up!! Here is what happened through baseball season! Enjoy!

What an incredible season we had this year!! In regular season, our team went 21-0. From Fall Ball through regular season, our team went 46 game and NO loses!!
Our 8 year old team advanced to the Region Tournament and lost to the Stam0 team. We were 1 game away from advancing to the State Tournements in Irving Texas. It was so heart breaking! We held their team to 5-0 until the 4th inning. They came back to beat us 9-8.
Triston made some outstanding dives!! We are so very proud of our baby.

Sunday July Fun

This Sunday, Johnnie & I decided to take the day off from kids and head North to Huntsville. We stopped by the Sam Houston Monument and visited the prison museum. We love old history and so it was a real relaxing day for us both. We stopped and had mexican food for lunch then headed over to Mel's house for the evening.
Triston & Dalton had fun swimming and having their dad throw the football to them in the pool. We sang Karoke and ate bar-b-que.
Just a fun relaxing day with my husband and my children.

Daltons 13th Birthday!!

3 down...1 to go! I now have 3 teenagers!!!

Dalton turned 13 on May 2nd. We had his birthday party with lots of family members at Melanie's house with the pool.

Johnnie had a lady friend of his do a professional cake for Dalton that was the coolest!!

Dalton wanted the Pantech Duo cell phone for his birthday and that's just what he got. He also got new clothes from his Aunt Mel and money from his other family members. He got a new leather wallet too that bought himself with his money!

Just to think 13 years ago, this young man was given to me by God! I love him...his such a wonderful son!

Baseball 2008 / Conroe Rangers

As I type this blog, our team is currently 13-0 UNDEFEATED!!! We are so stoked!

Johnnie has done a GREAT job with the 11 boys we have on our team this year. We are really excited too because Johnnie will be head coach of the All star team this year! Yippie!!!

Triston has been in the newspaper 6 times this year for his stellar performance! We are so proud of him!!!! What a great baseball player he is!

We have 3 games left of the regular season ...then off to the playoff tournaments!!

Wish us luck!

Easter 2008 with Johnnie's family

This year we spent Easter with Johnnie's family. Most of my kids are too big for the "Easter Bunny" so this worked for us. The younger ones did a Easter egg hunt which Triston really enjoyed!
Eddie & Melanie cooked out on the grill and the whole family was there.
I know Johnnie enjoyed being with his family that he really doesn't get to see that often.
In the pictures above, you can see the "cousins" and "the girls".
