Easter 2008 with Johnnie's family

This year we spent Easter with Johnnie's family. Most of my kids are too big for the "Easter Bunny" so this worked for us. The younger ones did a Easter egg hunt which Triston really enjoyed!
Eddie & Melanie cooked out on the grill and the whole family was there.
I know Johnnie enjoyed being with his family that he really doesn't get to see that often.
In the pictures above, you can see the "cousins" and "the girls".

My 39th Birthday

Ok, I have been REALLY behind on my blogging so I thought I would take the time to "catch everyone up".

On Feb 1st, I turned 39. I had one of the best Birthdays ever!

I got 3 birthday cakes for starters. 1 from my husband and children. 1 from my sister in law and one from the girls at work.

My children woke me up singing happy birthday and gave gifts and cards.

We ended the night with dinner my husband planned.

Tristons Birthday Weekend at the Deer Camp

January 5th, Triston Lane turned 8 years old. When Johnnie and I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday, he shouted "I want to go to the deer camp and kill a buck"~ typical Triston! HA! So, off we went to our place in Fredericksburg. The weather was wonderful. Not too cold and sunny! Dalton and I climbed up in the stand with Johnnie & Triston (which has NEVER happened before...for me) and I found that I actually liked it. Johnnie says he is buying me a rifle this year and next year, I am going to hunt. Normally, when we go to the deer camp, the boys hunt and I go into town with Keeli and shop. I think I have found something else to do while there.....I actually found it exciting!!

Triston & Daddy going out to "chum" the ground. They walked for about 3 hours around 1200 acres. I came back from town with groceries and they were layed out on the couch at camp....WORE OUT! HA!

Gingerbread House

Every year, a tradition in the Dixon home is to build a gingerbread house. This year, we all had fun putting sugar gum drops, pretzels, gum balls and all sorts of candy on this gingerbread house. Our gingerbread house last year was much more festive than this one. I had trouble finding all the candy we wanted this year! Anyway...it sure put us in the spirit of Christmas. Hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Fall Leaves

I took these photos a few weeks ago before we moved and found them on my camera and thought I would post them. Dalton & Triston really enjoyed playing in all the leaves. The leaves at our old house are something I know the boys will miss...that is..except Johnnie & Cody who always had to rake them! HA!

Fun at Shiela's 30th

My cousin Sheila turned 30 on Halloween. She had a birthday party at her house with a DJ and all. I bartended (which is NOT a job I would EVER want in "real life"...too demanding!!) which was interesting and fun!
Johnnie & I had a great time!
I got to see alot of my family too. Here's a pic of me and my uncle Donnie (who is a goof, prankster...gotta love him!).

I made so many mixed drinks that night...I really could be a bartender though. I made tips and all!! HA!

Glad we could be a part of your "Big" day Shiela! HAPPY BIRTHDAY from your favorite cousin! (he he)

80's Day at School

Today was 80's day at school. The girls had so much fun dressing up that I thought I would share these photos.
In the days of Leg warmers, big hair, blousy shirts, Pat Benatar, parachute pants and The Breakfast Club (days I remember all too well), this was the attire. Sad but true! HA!
Only mishap with the outfits......as soon as I got home from dropping the boys off to school, I get a call from Keeli and Amanda to bring them some leggings. They were "out of dress code" for school!
